- Shut Off Power: Turn off power at the breaker and automation system (if applicable).

- 7/8-inch socket wrench
- Dead blow hammer
- Garden hose with spray attachment
Step-by-Step Cleaning Checklist
- Prepare the System
- Turn off the automation system or switch the system to service mode.
- Shut off all power at the breakers.
- Release Pressure
- Open the high-flow manual air relief valve on the filter lid.
- Open the drain plug at the bottom of the tank to release water.
- Disassemble the Filter
- Use the 7/8-inch socket wrench to loosen the barrel nut.
- Remove the clamp, lid, and O-ring carefully.
- Set all parts on a clean surface.
- Clean the Cartridges
- Remove the cartridges and rinse thoroughly with a garden hose.
- Spray at a downward 45° angle, ensuring you clean between pleats.
- For deep cleaning, soak cartridges in a commercial filter cleaner or a solution of 1 cup trisodium phosphate or dish detergent to 5 gallons of water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Inspect and Clean Other Parts
- Check and clean the bottom manifold, tank bottom, and air bleed tube.
- Inspect the O-ring for debris or damage.
- Reassemble the Filter
- Replace the clean cartridges, ensuring they are fully seated.
- Reinstall the top manifold, O-ring, and lid.
- Place the band clamp securely and tighten the barrel nut using the wrench.
- Tap the clamp with the dead blow hammer to evenly distribute tension.
- Restart the System
- Open the manual air relief valve.
- Turn the power back on and start the pump.
- Stand clear of the filter during startup.
- Close the air relief valve once a steady stream of water flows.
Troubleshooting Tips 🔧
- If water leaks or the system doesn’t pressurize properly, shut off the pump immediately and release all pressure.
- Inspect and re-tighten the clamp as needed, following safety procedures.
